This is Fred Lundahl, the Cardinal RG owner of Skyview Airport (51VA) 
spending his summer out in
Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and Ganci Coalition Airbase. Ganci Air Base, with its 
seven different nationalities
- including Italians, Danes, Norwegians, South Koreans, Spanish F-16 drivers, 
along with Americans,
is the northern base for our operations in Afghanistan.  If we thought 
busting the Washington
ADIZ brought problems, the penalties for busting this one over Afghanistan 
are worse!

    It is quite an amazing place to observe - this modern US base.  The close 
cooperation and friendship between the local Kyrgyz, who were in the Soviet 
Union not so long ago, is particularly wonderful to behold.

    Unfortunately for this Pilot, while sitting out here in Central Asia, we 
haven't been having much
success selling our house and airstrip out past Manassas - Skyview (51VA).  
Because we simply must get moved out to our new house in the Seattle area, 
we've lowered the price on Skyview still further to $595,000 - yes, that's 
right... down 200k from where we started.  We can't really go much lower than 
that 
without losing money, so we are really hoping someone who is a pilot will want 
to buy the place and preserve one of the few FAA-approved and VA-licensed 
private use airstrips in the metro area.   If anyone is interested in buying an
