Relaxation of remaining airspace restrictions coming soon
AOPA continues efforts to restore all flight operations

11/13/01 3:39:03 PM ET — An FAA plan for easing general aviation restrictions
in the New York and Washington areas has received "conceptual" approval by
the Department of Transportation, AOPA has learned. That plan could also open
up some of the closed airports within the Washington temporary flight
restriction area (TFR). In addition, FAA is looking to restore some specialty
operations (news and traffic reporting; banner towing, etc.) in most of the
enhanced Class B airspace areas. AOPA continues to be a strong and vocal
advocate for easing these restrictions that have had such a detrimental
impact on operators.
