Ok.. after 9-11 we all know about the "temporary" ADIZ that was  put in place 
in our area. I was frustrated and I deiced to show my lack of  support with a 
Virginia Aviation License Plate that read FTADIZ. That way  other aviators 
could see/hear my cry "F the ADIZ!!" (Fight the ADIZ).  I  have also heard  it 
means "Federal Transportation Air Defense  Identification Zone".. Heck there is 
even a version that should not be posted  on a "family" message board ;-)
 
So now that the ADIZ is going to change to a Special Flight Rules  Area 
(SFRA) on 2/17/09..  I have decided to have a little fun with  it in my own 
personal activist way.. and change the tags on my car from  "FTADIZ" (Fight The 
ADIZ) 
to "FTSFRA" (Fight The Special Flight Rules  Area".
 
I am going to do this on Sunday 2/15/09 at 12:00 noon in the JYO  parking lot 
if anyone wants to come out and say hi. Should take about 10-15  minutes... 
and my guess is by 12:15 we will all head over to Giovanni's Pizza  for some 
good ole Pizza Hanger Flying. The event is open to all..   pilots, family, 
freinds, FAA, TSA, DHS, etc. :-D
