[JYO] Proposed Hangar Lease Public Comment Period Ends November 20th, 2002

Proposed Hangar Lease Public Comment Period Ends November 20th, 2002

The Leesburg Airport Commission held a public meeting last night to discuss
the new hangar lease that airport director Doug McNeeley had proposed a
couple of months earlier. In addition to the Commission, the airport
director, the town airport employees and about 10 pilots and/or hangar
tenants were present at the meeting.

Many things were discussed and there were some sensitive issues. Both the
airport Commission and the director agreed that all of the concerns should be
addressed. This proposed lease is still a "work in progress".

The proposed lease can be seen online at: <A

http://www.leesburgpilots.com/drafthangarlease.pdf</A>.

All pilots, tenants and future tenants are encouraged to review the lease and
voice all concerns in writing to the Airport Director and Commission. This
must be done by November 20, 2002. After that date, the Airport Director will
prepare a response to each issue raised. Each issue an appropriate response
will be shared with the Airport Commission and the Public at the December
Airport Commission Meeting.

Your comments on the lease should be to specific items and NOT just general
izations.

I have set up a special e-mail address that will send your comments to the
Airport Director, the Commission Chairman, the Commission Vice Chairman and
me. Please send your comments to:

<A
HREF="mailto:leasecomments@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx";>leasecomments@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx</A>

It was also mentioned at the meeting by one of the hangar tenants, that other
tenants were not aware of the proposed lease and or the meetings being held
to discuss them. Please ask your hangar "neighbors" to subscribe to this
e-mail list when you see them so that they too can be included in my updates
and meeting announcements. They can subscribe by sending an e-mail too:
jyo-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx and put the word SUBSCRIBE in the subject line.

Thanks,

Ed Levine
