[JYO] Plane Owners and Renters.. The BOS needs to hear from you!

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Aviation Community at JYO,
Please assist me in gathering information your Airport Commission needs to
help debunk certain myths that have been circulated regarding the proposed
plane tax increase for planes based in Loudoun County. I ask that you write a
short letter on company letterhead, personal letterhead, (fax 703-777-3656) or
via e-mail to me at _tdunlap@xxxxxxxxxxxx (mailto:tdunlap@xxxxxxxxxxx) ,
indicating the following (sample):

Dear Members of the Board,
I am writing with respect to the proposed personal property tax increase on
airplanes based in Loudoun County. I am the owner / operator of an airplane
with the tail number N7855Z, a Cirrus SR22, based at Leesburg Airport (KJYO).
I have reviewed the proposed property tax increase, and have reached the
conclusion that, based upon the value of my plane and attendant increase in
cost to remain based at Leesburg that I will have no choice to re-base at one
of
four or more adjacent airports, that presently have availability and will
not impose the tax proposed in Loudoun.
It is my belief that the proposed tax increase will cost the county a
significant portion of the resident airplane owners. I would ask that you
reject
the proposed increase and thus keep the vibrant and vital aviation community
in business, in Loudoun.
Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions.
Alternatively, feel free to contact Thomas Dunlap at _tdunlap@xxxxxxxxxxxx
(mailto:tdunlap@xxxxxxxxxxx) .
Sincerely,
