[JYO] Loudoun County Board Of Supervisors Issue Regarding Leesburg Airport (Update)

The Board of Supervisors has moved the Bolen Park 'land swap' issue to the  
15th of February.  Both the Chair and Vice Chair of the Leesburg  Airport 
Commission had a brief chance to speak at the 2/1/05 meeting, as  noted in 
Leesburg Today.  However, much still needs to be  done.

There's a fairly good set of maps available at  
http://www.loudounsfuture.org.  I don't get hung up on their estimates  of 
number of residences, since their numbers and the developers numbers are  
often different, but the maps are pretty good.

If you haven't already  done so, please write to the Supervisors of Loudoun 
County and state your  position on locating thousands of homes directly 
underneath the traffic  pattern at Leesburg.  You can email them at the 
addresses listed  below.  You can also phone any one of them at 703-777-0204.

Also, if  you are able to spare the morning on February 15th, and would like 
to speak  at the Board of Supervisors meeting in the public comment section, 
the  meeting will take place at 9:30 a.m. in the County Government Center on  
Harrison Street in Leesburg.  The speakers list is available  (officially) at 
8;30 for signup, although if you're there a few minutes  earlier it's often 
possible to get on the list early.  You'll get  either two or three minutes 
to speak, depending on the number of folks that  sign up.  I suspect that the 
public comment section for that day will  be lengthy.
