[JYO] Leesburr Runway Status

The Runway 17-35 Rehabilitation project is  nearing completion. The full 
runway length (5,500') is open for use. Runway  lights will be operational, 
at medium intensity, Tuesday August 2 and  Wednesday August 3. Runway and 
taxiway light systems will be on continuously  from 8:30 PM to 6:00 AM both 
nights.  The new regulator is expected to  be installed by Thursday August 4, 
after which the runway lights will be  operational, at high intensity, and 
pilot controlled.

GPS/R-NAV  Approaches are available now.  Localizer and PAPIs are awaiting an 
FAA  flight check and so remain unavailable. Pilots are encouraged to 
continue  checking NOTAMS.

Runway grooving is scheduled for:
8:30 PM to 6:00  AM
Monday, August 15 through Friday, August 19

Runway marking is  scheduled for:
8:30 PM to 6:00 AM
Wednesday, August 24
