The LOC17 approach will be NOTAM'ed out as of today, for somewhere between 6
& 8 weeks. Our 8 bar Localizer antenna will be replaced, along with the old
transmitter.
At the conclusion, we will have the new 16-bar localizer antenna and
solid-state transmitter that supports the ILS installation. Minimums will
remain
the same, but you might notice a very 'slight' improvement in your alignment
with the runway when the needle is centered.
We also apologize for the VERY short notice for this NOTAM. Don't EVEN get
me started on the three letter agency that funds and runs this project. We
literally got the call late this morning that they're starting tomorrow
morning.
Thanks for your patience,
Dennis
