[JYO] Leesburg Executive Airport Fatal Accident

We lost some of our brethren at approximately 9:30 a.m. today when N4171T,  a 
Piper Warrior operated on leaseback to Av-Ed flight school, crashed about  a 
mile or less south of Runway 17 at JYO.  It appears (at first  reports) that 
the aircraft, operated by an instructor and a student (rating  yet unknown) 
was departing on Rwy 17 under VFR and may have been just about  ready to turn 
x-wind, or possibly already turning, when it crashed.   Both occupants 
perished in the crash.

No further details are  available at this early point in the investigation.
