[JYO] Leesburg Airport Director Selection Committee

Dear Madam Mayor and Leesburg Town Council -
Tonight at the Leesburg Airport Commission meeting, Mr. Noe addressed the  
airport commission and the pilots as to the delay in the selection of the new  
airport director.  He went onto explain that there were many applicants and  as 
the selection process narrowed, the process failed.
Airport Commission Vice Chairman, Sid Lissner expressed his disappointment  
tonight to Mr. Noe with regard to his choice to not have included a local pilot 
 or Leesburg airport commission member or Leesburg airport business  
owner/operator on the airport selection committee.
This is a MAJOR concern to many of the pilots that are based, fly into and  
do business with the Leesburg Executive airport. Many of the pilots, owners and 
 users of the airport as well as all of the airport commission members are  
residents of the Town of Leesburg.  They want a say in who helps drive the  
direction and growth of this economic engine.
I would urge you to request that Mr. Noe reconsider his decision  and include 
a local pilot, aviation business owner/operator and an airport  commission 
member to the selection committee.
