The Leesburg Executive Airport will have a six day pavement maintenance
project this summer performed by Asphalt Restoration Technologies. Monday,
August
18, 2008 is the planned start date. The project will take six days to
complete and will include using an asphalt rejuvenator and crack sealing as
well as
re-painting. The project could be delayed due to weathers conditions. Keep
in contact with Airport staff and Landmark operations for updates.
The affected areas will be the taxiway and run-up pads as well as the main
ramp area south of the terminal building. To keep the runway open as well as
access to the runway, ramp and hangars a site map has been created showing
the stages of the project. It will be important for everyone to be familiar
with the information provided concerning partial taxiway, intersections and
ramp
closures.
If your aircraft is located on the main ramp it will be relocated during the
project by Landmark Aviation. All aircraft will be accessible for flying by
working with Airport staff and Landmark.
Any questions during the project can be directed to Dean Smith, Airfield
Maintenance Supervisor at (703) 926-6955 or the Airport Directors office at
(703) 737-7126.
