[JYO] FAA reports no easing of airspace restrictions this weekend

11/9/01 6:01:45 PM ET — Pilots should not expect any easing of emergency
airspace restrictions this weekend. In a conversation with AOPA this
afternoon, Steve Brown, associate administrator for Air Traffic Services,
told AOPA that, while plans are progressing, no changes would be instituted
over the next two days. Representatives from the FAA continue to meet with
security officials to hammer out the final details for resuming those general
aviation operations that are still restricted in enhanced Class B and TFR
airspace. AOPA will provide updates as they become available.
