FAA issues last-minute ECB extensions
Final decision deferred until Wednesday afternoon
12/18/01 7:17:39 PM ET — Due to ongoing negotiations at the highest levels of
the Administration, FAA was unable to meet a legislative deadline for
revising enhanced Class B airspace restrictions today. In <A
HREF="http://www.aopa.org/whatsnew/newsitems/2001/010915tfr.html#1/3332";>a
notam</A> issued
early this evening, the FAA instructed pilots that they must continue to
comply with existing notams regarding enhanced Class B airspace. The FAA
intends to issue revised notams no later than 5 p.m. tomorrow (December 19).
