A special notice to pilots in northeastern West Virginia

FAA TO ESTABLISH TFR OVER MARTINSBURG ON WEDNESDAY
AOPA is sending this message to advise pilots in northeastern West
Virginia that the FAA has issued a notam restricting flight over
Martinsburg during President Bush's planned visit on Wednesday, July 4.
There will be a large 30-nautical-mile-radius temporary flight
restriction (TFR) centered on the MRB VOR's 286-degree radial at 6.4
miles, extending up to Flight Level 180. It will be in effect from
8:55 a.m. local until 11:45 a.m. local on Wednesday. Also, there will
be a smaller 10-nm-radius GA no-fly zone in effect within the
larger TFR during that time frame. See AOPA Online for the full text

The affected landing facilities are Eastern West Virginia Regional/
Shepherd Field (MRB), Winchester Regional (OKV), Potomac Airpark (W35),
Hagerstown Regional/Richard A. Henson Field (HGR), Grimes Properties
Heliport (MD86), Leesburg Executive (JYO), Frederick Municipal (FDK),
and Burhans Memorial (3MD0).
