[JYO] FAA TO ESTABLISH TFR OVER MANASSAS ON TUESDAY

FAA TO ESTABLISH TFR OVER MANASSAS ON TUESDAY
AOPA is sending this message to advise pilots in and near Manassas,
Virginia, that the FAA has issued a notam restricting flight in the
area during President Bush's planned visit on Tuesday, February 6.

There will be a large 30-nautical-mile-radius temporary flight
restriction (TFR) centered on the AML VOR's 198-degree radial at
13.0 miles, extending up to Flight Level 180. It will be in effect
from 9:30 a.m. local until 11:10 a.m. local on Tuesday. Also, there
will be a smaller 10-nm-radius GA no-fly zone in effect within
the larger TFR during that time frame. See AOPA Online for the full
text of the notam along with a graphical depiction
( http://www.aopa.org/whatsnew/notams.html#7/2368 ).

The affected landing facilities are Manassas Regional/Harry P. Davis
Field (HEF), Whitman Strip (VG57), Warrenton-Fauquier (W66),
Warrenton Air Park (7VG0), Washington Dulles International (IAD),
Flying Circus Aerodrome (3VA3), Aviacres (3VA2), Hartwood (8W8),
Davison AAF (DAA), Quantico Mcaf/Turner Field (NYG), Stafford Regional
(RMN), Culpeper Regional (CJR), Leesburg Executive (JYO), Maryland
(2W5), Dogwood Airpark (VA42), Ronald Reagan Washington National
(DCA), Ty-Ti-To (MD83), South Capitol Street Heliport (09W),
Potomac Airfield (VKX), Lanseair Farms (MD97), Washington Executive/
Hyde Field (W32), Edelen Field (5MD8), and Shannon (EZF).

Because TFR airspace frequently changes, AOPA strongly encourages
pilots to obtain a briefing and CHECK NOTAMS before every flight.
TFR violators will be intercepted and forced to land.
