[JYO] FAA TO ESTABLISH TFR OVER ARNOLD ON WEDNESDAY

FAA TO ESTABLISH TFR OVER ARNOLD ON WEDNESDAY
AOPA is sending this message to advise pilots in and near Arnold,
Maryland, that the FAA has issued a notam restricting flight in the
area during President Bush's planned visit on Wednesday, March 2.

There will be a 10-nautical-mile-radius temporary flight restriction
(TFR) centered on the BAL VOR's 147-degree radial at 9.9 miles,
extending up to Flight Level 180. It will be in effect from 9:40 a.m.
local until 12:35 p.m. local on Wednesday. The TFR is essentially a GA
no-fly zone; however, pilots may enter the area if they receive ATC
authorization. This notam supercedes the Washington, D.C., Air Defense
Identification Zone (ADIZ) cutout procedures for Kentmorr Airpark (3W3)
and Bay Bridge Airport (W29).

In addition to Kentmorr Airpark and Bay Bridge, the affected landing
facilities are Lee (ANP), South River SPB (00B), and Baltimore-Washington
International (BWI).

See AOPA Online for the full text of the notam along with a graphic
( http://www.aopa.org/whatsnew/notams.html#5/1567 ).

Because TFR airspace frequently changes, AOPA strongly encourages
pilots to obtain a briefing and CHECK NOTAMS before every flight.
TFR violators will be intercepted and forced to land.
