[JYO] Dulles PLANE PULL update... (9/20/03, 11AM-4PM, FedEx Ramp - Dulles)

Hi -

We are now 18 days away from the Dulles Day Plane Pull. (For those of you 
that don't know what that is, look at www.PlanePull.com for details but it is a 
charity event that raised over $100,000.00 for Special Olympics) Last year over 
35,000 people came. Event will be at the FedEx ramp on September 20th from 
11AM-4PM

If you want to fly a plane into Dulles for static display, you MUST register 
at: http://planepullstaticdisplay.flyboyed.com/ Fly-in hours will be between 
8AM-10AM with departure approval at 4PM (or earlier if weather is not 
cooperating). Check all NOTAMS and my information page.

If you want to volunteer for the event (Assist on Aviation Security Team or 
parking/marshalling airplanes) write to PlanePull@xxxxxxx

Last year, LeesburgPilots.com team pulled the FedEx 727 in only 9.08 seconds! 
(not bad for our first year). You can see the other teams and results here:

For a team to enter, we need $1000.00 (or $50.00 per puller) for a team of 20 
pullers.  (It is nice to have 5 "stand-by" pullers too in case one of the 
first 20 ends up not making it.  If all 20 make it then the stand-by pullers 
are

The Dulles Plane Pull is the original, invented by former Deputy Police Chief 
(and Leesburg Pilot) Joe Hurtuk. Joe will drop his Florida TSA duties for the 
day and come up to Dulles on September 20th to assume his duties as "Father 
of the Plane Pull".
