Ed,
Good news. Because of lots of other news for this week's paper, the deadline
for the airport story has been extended until the Monday/Tuesday time frame.
I've gotten some good feedback for the article so far. Could you send out
another brief e-mail telling the pilots that my deadline for input has been
extended until Monday evening and anyone
who wants to talk can call me or e-mail me? I would appreciate it. Monday
through the night time will be the last chance for input for this article. It
won't be pushed back any further.
Thanks for all your help.
Andrew

Questions from reporter Andrew Parker, Leesburg Today:
1. What kinds of programs and initiatives would you like to see at Leesburg
airport?
2. What is your impression of the Airport Commission and the town?
3. How much security should be implemented at the airport? What kinds of
security measures would be acceptable and what would be going too far?
4. What should the airport strive to be in the next 5 years? In 20 years?
5. Should the town focus more on corporate business development, retain a
small-town feel for private pilots, or both? Should there be a balance between
"the little guy" so to speak and the bigger business jets?
This is just a starting point, and I will welcome comments on anything anyone
wants to talk or write about. I am also interested in how pilots view the
town and its processes for getting things done. This is an open invitation for
pilots to voice their concerns and visions for the airport. Anyone who wants to
contact me I'm at reporterquestions@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or, if the phone is
easier, 703-771-8801. I would like to get a much clearer picture of what's
happening at the airport, and I think that pilots are a great place to start. I
hope
to hear from many of you soon.
In the article, I may or may not use names with statements, so please specify
if you don't want your name attached to a comment. I would like to go with
some names so please don't everybody tell me that they don't want to be quoted.
Thanks,
Andrew Parker
