[JYO] Crosstrail Hearing lasts hours...

Just my quick two cents...

Speaker after Speaker recommended an resounding NO to the Planning
Commission to the Crosstrail project. In fact, as I recall only two were for
the
project as it stands and they both seemed to have some pretty strong ties to
the
Peterson Companies.. Many pilots and residents of Leesburg all said no to the
residential element of the plan. Besides saying to the residential part of
the plan, there were water and sewer issues, tax issues, traffic issues (a 14
lane Route 7?). I will more information when I get it. I find it
interesting that on the Peterson Companies web page.. that they explain all
the cool
things about the Crosstrail project and even depict a
map(_http://www.shopcrosstrail.com/crosstrail_siteplan.php_
(http://www.shopcrosstrail.com/crosstrail_siteplan.php) ). No mention of the
Leesburg Airport anywhere.. not even on
the copy of the Map. Maybe this is their future projection of the area (with
no airport) if they build houses. There are about 500 of you on this
LeesburgPilots.com e-mail list. Make yourself know to the officials about how
you
feel about this project.
