AOPA monitoring NYC airspace situation
11/12/2001 10:23:46 AM ET — American Airlines flight 587 from New York to
Santa Domingo has crashed in Queens. The Airbus 300 had apparently climbed to
13,000 feet, according to its Flight Explorer track. AOPA is already in
contact with the FAA to determine if this will have any local or nationwide
impact on airspace regulations. Please check back to AOPA Online frequently
