[JYO] 2nd Annual Cookies to Controllers (UPDATE

I called the baker that I used last year and he is no longer in the baking 
business as he was diagnosed with a terminal illness earlier this year. :-(

I did find another cookie vendor that will make the Cookies for the 
Controllers this year. They are individually wrapped and are also normally 
1.00 each but I am getting them for $0.85 each plus FedEx shipping.

Since I plan on delivering 100 cookies, I expect it to cost about $110.00 or 
so. I have pledges from 2 people for $10.00 each. Since these cookies are 
from "local pilots" that use IAD controllers, both LeesburgPilots and 
DCPilots folks are invited to participate (donate cash and/or help with the 
delivery and possible tower tour). I expect to make delivery the week of 
December 17th.

I am going to be taking "Cookies to Controllers" at the IAD tower a week or 
so before Christmas. (I needed to wait for word back from IAD managers that 
this was OK and just got that word today!). If any of you want to do this for 
another DC location, feel free! I can even put you in touch with the custom 
cookie maker I use (I shopped around for a good one). These cookies are about 
8" and sell for about $1.00 each.  When I bought 100 of them I paid about 70 
cents each for them and another $30 for a nice basket to deliver them in.

Anyone is welcome to help.  We can share the cost if 20 of you send me $5.00 
or 10 of you send me $10.00, etc.  Anyone is also welcome to come on the 
cookie delivery (which resulted in a tower tour last year) once IAD provides 
me with the best date (should be week of Dec 17th).
