They do a couple of weird things. They'll play a non-encrypted DVD out of the box but they do cripple their xine. The thing to do w/SuSE is to uninstall the default xine, then go to Packman's website (http://packman.links2linux.org/) and grab his builds, then install libdvdcss. Since they've gone to OpenSUSE and have more community involvement in the build things may get better. I added a couple of non-stock repositories to YaST's install source so I don't need the CDs or DVD to install programs I don't have. That works pretty well, but it's a bit of after install futzing that I could live w/o. Novell is hosting, or at least points to Packman on their site. Or maybe Packman is on of the mirrors? I forget. They're not official rpms exactly, but it is an easy way for Novell to dodge the lawsuits and still provide the functionality. Only thing is, you have to hang out in the newsgroups or read a bunch of web pages to get up to speed on it... ...Kevin --=20 Kevin Miller Registered Linux User No: 307357 CBJ MIS Dept.
