I have a buddy that wants to purchase a new iMac (desktop). The
bundle he's looking at offers either Parallels or Boot Camp and a
version of Windows (Vista or XP). Can't grub replace Boot Camp?
However I'd guess that Windows as a Parallel's vm would be stuck in that
form (you could not install it as a stand alone partition), true or
not? Although a pre-installed partition probably wouldn't convert to a
vm either. I suggested that he choose XP over Vista.
Any advice as to his best choices (Boot Camp vs Parallels) (XP vs Vista)?
Any tricks needed to create a linux partition on an iMac? How does
Parallels compare to VMWare? Where are the best deals for buying a Mac?
TIA
-Jamie
