Hi, all!
I recently bought a Sandisk Cruzer 256 to replace the 32 mb smartdrive
that I ruined by running through the washer and dryer. While the
smartdrive and a smartmedia reader I have work fine with Fedora Core 1,
I cannot mount the Cruzer. The device is detected as it shows up when I
do: cat /proc/scsi/scsi. With the fstab entry I had for the smartdrive,
my system would lock up tight when trying to mount it, requiring a
reset. I tried using it with Knoppix 3.3 without success, but it works
great with Knoppix 3.4. I used the fstab entry that Knoppix generated,
but it doesn't make a difference. Knoppix 3.4 has the 2.4.26 kernel, so
I am wondering if upgrading the kernel will do the trick. Has anyone
else used a Cruzer on Core 1?
Chuck Hakari
P.S. I have this listed on one of the Fedora Forums, but no one has come
up with anything yet.
