Yup, I know it is the drive. The fans alone are nice and quiet - the
drive has got that high pitched annoying whine. Thanks for the link -
I'll look into a quieter drive. (This thing is spun up all the time, so I
don't want to put an enclosure around it.)
I guess the BEST solution would be to find a power suppply for the NCD
Explora Pro X terminal I picked up at Surplus. That thing has no drive,
and no fans either. Perfect way to noise-test a monitor I guess...
