Sounds like FC1 - just broken enough that you don't want to use it
for production systems. They seem to remove software/features with
questionable licenses (pine) and cripple others to remove contentious
features (xmms - mp3 capability, openssl).
I've been using YUM with FC1 instead of up2date...and it has some
problems too...RedHat moves around the files and directory trees a
lot, so you have to change your paths on a regular basis. This may
be the problem with up2date.
