Got the new AbiWord 1.0 on my Gentoo systems. It works great, though I
have not worked with any heavly formatted word documents, so I don't know
how well it handles the complex stuff like macros. Binaries for

AbiSource seems to not have been updated yet. But Sourceforge has the
files. There is also a Windows version for those who need a common
wordprocessor on both systems.
