I do not have the 64-bit FC6. Although I probably should, since I have
a 64 bit CPU. My kids like flash, realaudio, etc. and I understand the
64 bit versions are hacks right now.
As far as all the escape codes, I don't know that it's the e-mail
client. I think it might be the e-mail client and interaction with
ecartis.
The message above was sent with Kmail. It also happens with Outlook,
and I used to use Sylpheed and it happened there too. But not ALL the
time.
I've never bothered to really dig into why that happens.
