Direct Chantilly Operations and identity/qualify and support capture of new business opportunities in the Spectral Processing/Exploitation, Measurement and Signature Intelligence MASINT), Knowledge Management, Directed Energy, Systems Solutions business areas. Direct the execution of programs when the Ball Aerospace program office is in the Chantilly Operation. Identify and engage in intelligence community and DARPA space system development opportunities from the initial study phase through program execution and operations. Shape requirements by analyzing mission area plans and operational requirements, then determine how to best engace in the acquisition process. Participate in the development of teaming/competitive strategies and action plans for System Engineering Solutions and Defense Systems pursuits. Participate in the proposal preparation process by providing customer insight, themes, price-to-win input, and participating in proposal reviews. Provide an available focal point for the intelligence agency customers and coordinate and deliver messages to and from senior level customers. Maintain a collaborative partnership with the BATC Washington Office. Minimum Qualifications: Fifteen or more years professional experience in the identification, development and closure of significant new business opportunities in the defense agencies and prime contractor communities. This position requires extensive knowledge of business development processes, leadership, and judgment. Experience working with senior level government officials to identify business opportunities and position the company for new business wins. Must have relevant experience with a proven record of achieving business development goals. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government Security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A current security clearance is preferred. Education: Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline. Each higher level degree, i.e. Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Two years of experience may be substituted for each year of education. In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level are considered.
