Director of Manufacturing - Toronto, Canada
Director of Manufacturing to lead all activities involved in the procurement
of drug supplies and in the management of contract manufacturers.  

Responsibilities will include managing contract manufacturers that are cGMP
compliant; developing and maintaining corporate manufacturing policies and
guidelines; maintaining company-responsible manufacturing SOPs and reviewing
and approving contract manufacturer SOPs.  This position is also responsible
for the procurement of manufactured drug products as well as assisting the
development of raw material and product specifications and product
standards.  You will also assist in the technology transfer, process
development, scale up, process and facility validation and optimization of
product analytical methodologies.

You must have a minimum of five years of cGMP manufacturing responsibilities
in a pharmaceutical/biotech company.  Excellent knowledge of cGMP practices
in Canada, the U.S. and Europe is a necessity as is prior operational
experience in manufacturing process development and scale up.  A university
degree in a scientific discipline is a prerequisite, however, a Masters or
Ph.D. degree is a plus.
