Job Description:

Seapine has an exciting opening in our marketing department for a 
technologically adept, experienced writer. The candidate for this 
multi-faceted position is responsible for writing, editing, and 
producing a large variety of marketing and technical communication copy 
including, but not limited to the following:

* Collateral sheets
* Ad copy
* Web site content
* Newsletters
* White papers
* Customer stories
* Press releases
* Best practices papers
* Magazine articles

 Seapine's products are marketed to software developers, software 
development managers, and quality assurance professionals. Candidates 
must posses a thorough understanding software development and/or 
software quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate could be 
described as a software engineer or quality assurance professional with 
excellent written communication skills and a strong desire to write for 
a living.

This position provides an opportunity to work on a diverse set of 
projects while having a direct impact on Seapine's marketing efforts and 
bottom line.

Skill Requirements:

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work on a wide 
range of writing assignments - from Web banner copy to technical white 
papers. The position requires the ability to learn new technologies and 
communicate effectively.


Qualified candidates must have the following:

* BA in Journalism, English, Communications or the equivalent OR BS in 
Computer Science and a proven ability to write well
* 3+ years of formal writing experience
* 5+ years of software product development or software quality assurance 
experience


Experience in the following areas is a strong plus:

* Familiarity with software development lifecycle management tools
* Ability to download, install, and evaluate lifecycle management tools
