Illinois
Full territory: All of the above plus North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska,
Kansas, Missouri
Department: Sales
Reports to: Alec Newcomb, National Wholesale Director
Pay status: Exempt/salaried (sales exemption)
Compensation: Base pay - $30,000 - $45,000
Bonus $15,000 - $22,000+ (includes performance bonus and sales incentive
bonus - both paid on a quarterly basis).
Company vehicle provided.
This is a full-time (40 hour/week) position and is eligible for CEC's full
benefits package.

Summary
Drive new sales to our wholesale channel by calling on builders,
contractors, architects, engineers and plumbing contactors. Provide sales
and distribution support for CEC's wholesale accounts and reps. The primary
territory for this position is Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan,
Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois; the full territory also includes North
Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri. Increase knowledge of
tankless technology and CEC's product offerings to builders, contractors,
architects and engineers in your territory. Key activities include cold
calling on leads to educate them on tankless hot water technology and the
benefits of CEC's product line. This position requires regional travel up to
80% of the time with 20% based from a home office.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with builders, contractors, architects
and engineers in your assigned territory.
Generate leads and present effective proposals to builders, contractors,
architects and engineers. Work closely with CEC Wholesale Team members to
close sales.
Complete sales calls in a wholesale distribution environment representing
CEC's product line to the wholesaler and assisting wholesaler present our
products to the contractor.
Manage CEC reps in the territory.
Understand and be able to articulate CEC's wholesale pricing fundamentals
and marketing programs.
Conduct field surveys, perform job take-offs and complete systems
estimating.
Train and educate builders, contractors, architects and engineers in your
assigned territory on CEC's product line.
Plan and/or participate in trade shows and/or other marketing and sales
initiatives.
Qualifications:

High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
3-5 years proven experience selling a technology-based product, preferably
in the business-to-business marketplace.
2+ years selling to builders and/or developing new business to contractors,
architects and engineers in the wholesale/HVAC channel with demonstrated
experience increasing sales preferred.
Demonstrated ability to support a rapidly growing account base while
increasing sales year over year. Proven track record of generating and
closing sales leads.
Demonstrate an understanding of domestic water heating systems including
direct-fired storage heaters, tankless heaters and indirect fired storage
heaters.
Exceptional negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Excel. Ability to learn new software quickly.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Other Job Requirements/Work Environment Characteristics:

Travel required up to 80% of the time in the territories listed above.
Occasional travel required to other states. Travel to Vermont for sales and
company meetings approximately four times per year.
Hands-on installation support and training will be delivered at customer
locations.
Employee will be based out of home office 20% of the time.
Weekend work required between 1 - 3 times per month. Comp time available for
full weekend workdays.
CEC company vehicle provided for business use. Travel expenses to be
reimbursed based on company guidelines.
