Examples of Duties Performed:
This list of duties is not exhaustive, and duties may be added, deleted
or changed at any time without notice.
1.      Capture visual content for multiple platforms.
2.      Edit video.
3.      Work with producers, reporters and editors to create news
stories.
4.      Responsible for operating various newsgathering equipment,
including but not limited to, microwave live truck, video camera and
video editing equipment.  
5.      Catalogue and file news stories, and occasionally supervise such
duties as performed by other editors and videographers.
6.      Perform interviews when in the field, as needed.
7.      Perform other duties as needed and as directed by the News
Director and/or Chief Photographer.
 
 
Requirements:
Education:                High School diploma required.  College degree
preferred.
 
Experience:              Minimum two years shooting and editing news
programs preferred.
 
Equipment:               Knowledge of Panasonic DVC Pro cameras, Final
Cut Pro editing systems, or similar equipment.  Knowledge of lighting
and audio for remote broadcasts.  Will be responsible for safe operation
of ENG live trucks, satellite remotes and regular news vehicles.
 
Skills/Abilities:          Work well with all news personnel, other
company departments, and with the public in fast-paced, deadline-driven
environment.  Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and adaptable to
changing schedules. Must be physically capable of consistently lifting
approximately 30-40 lbs and able to tolerate standing for long periods
of time.
 
License:                   Must possess a valid driver's license and
provide proof of insurance.
