Examples of Duties Performed:
This list of duties is not exhaustive, and duties may be added, deleted
or changed at any time without notice.
1. Operate teleprompter, floor direct, and operate studio and ENG
style cameras for newscast and other locally produced programs.
2. Light temporary sets and maintain lighting on permanent sets.
3. Operate Chyron HyperX or similar character generator equipment.
4. Assist directors as needed in preparation for news or other
programs.
5. Assist as grip and perform audio/video functions for commercial
and program requirements.
6. Operate EFP camera for commercial, programming or news projects.
7. Construct and paint sets, move and store production equipment.
8. Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Operations
or management.
Requirements:
Education: College broadcasting/telecommunications courses
required.
Experience: Previous production experience at a TV station
preferred.
Equipment: Familiar with operation of studio cameras, knowledge
of lighting
standards. Further knowledge of
operation of production field equipment
(lights, camera, audio and video
recording devices) and character
generators preferred.
Skills/Abilities: Standing for long periods, manipulation and lifting
equipment weighing up to 75
pounds. Must be able to adapt quickly to
changing show structure and
communicate clearly with talent, directors and
other members of the staff.
Must be available to work early morning, late night, weekend and
overtime hours.
License: Must possess a valid driver's license and provide
proof of insurance.
