[jsfg_cinti] Re: Vista Print - is it really free?

I didn't encountered this either, but I don't doubt Dave's comment.
A reputable firm should disclose the loss of privacy issue up front so you
can decide for yourself if it's worth it.

It's been a long while since I used Vista print, but when I did, I never
got any sort of marketing from them at all?? In fact, I never heard from them
again. Perhaps its a more recent push?
I think they're still worth it, especially in terms of having a quality card
instead of something printed off your laser at home. I've never heard anyone
talk down about the cards having the log on the back.

I think their best use is if you are considering a couple of different career
paths, and have a couple of different resumes. You may wish to have a
different card for each industry you are trying to interview in, for example
one where you list your title such as MA or MS, and one without where you want
to downplay that aspect of your career. When you're printing that many cards,
free is good!

Just another perspective.

When I joined JSFG over a year ago I learned that I could get free business
cards through vistaprint.com. That offer probably still stands. There's a
  down side, however.

First it's only free if you don't mind them printing their logo on the back.

Here's a bigger downside. Vistaprint is a very aggressive marketer. You
will receive emails, phone calls and mail offers from them from now until
  who knows when.

If that kind of thing bothers you and you have the money, consider going to
  Fedex/Kinkos.
