Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Position Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Industry: Commercial Software Development
 
Company: We are a well-established, highly-successful division of
multi-billion dollar Fortune 400 company.  Our products are
high-performing software packages for the healthcare industry.  Our work
environment is collegial and relaxed and as a result, we've maintained a
high employee retention rate in a competitive market.
 
The VP/CTO will actively participate in semi-annual budget preparation,
will develop business strategies and establish company policies. The
executive team consists of the President, VP of Product Management, and
the VP Sales and the VP /CTO.
As CTO, he/she will direct continued development of current products and
direct development of new products. He/she will ensure regulatory
compliance including HIPAA. He/she will carry out retirement of current
products and lead adoption of new technologies.
It is essential that work plans be prepared and maintained on a 12 month
rolling horizon. He/she will direct estimation of time, resources and
costs required for new efforts. There are three development teams to be
supervised and developed- Cincinnati, California and Washington State.
The VP/CTO will also provide the information systems infrastructure for
the company including directing the IS staff, maintaining internal
networks, web servers, VPN, and communication systems.
 
Requirements: 
*       Qualifications
*       10+ years of experience in leadership roles within Information
Technology.
*       5 years of experience directing development of PC-based
commercial software 
*       Must demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities.  
*       Must possess the ability to establish, and manage priorities on
multiple projects and initiatives.  
*       Must have a proven track record of delivering software projects
on time and within budget, preferably for a commercial software company.
*       Must possess high integrity, and the ability to earn trust and
build alliances with team and with peers.  
*       Bachelors degree.  Advanced degree and / or experience in tier-1
or tier-2 consulting is a strong plus.
*       Healthcare industry experience a plus
*       Microsoft certifications and knowledge of Borland Delphi and
Interbase, Basis VPRO/5 are an advantage
