Manager of Labor Relations = $80,000 to $100,000 (Dayton, OH)
Overview
Manager responsible for the Company's labor relations strategy, collective
bargaining negotiations, management of relationships with union leaders,
working with operating management on collaborative efforts with union local
and administration of the collective bargaining agreement (Compact). This
position will report to the Vice President of Human Resources and function
as a key member of the senior HR leadership team.

Job Skills/Requirements
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Support the Human Resources strategy for the Company as a contributing
member of the HR team.
Support operating management in establishing leading industry operational
practices and processes, while meeting the consultation value of our Compact
with our Union.
Develop strategic partnerships with management across the organization to
support their business plans and goals.
Develop and maintain close and effective business relationships with Union
officers.
Be actively involved in interest-based problem solving and decision making
efforts involving operating management and Union officials.
Lead the Company's strategic planning, preparation and bargaining team for
Compact negotiations.
Administer the Compact to ensure the terms and conditions of employment are
followed as negotiated.
Manage the issue resolution process from initial problem solving through the
arbitration process.
Minimum Experience:
The successful candidate must be an experienced and skilled business person,
with a strong operations background. The candidate must be a hands on
professional with well rounded interpersonal skills and demonstrated
leadership abilities. Experience in Human Resources is a plus. Prefer
experience in a unionized work environment; as well as experience in utility
or related businesses.
Education:
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration; advanced degree preferred.
Other Preferable Characteristics:
Keen business and financial acumen, combined with mature and prudent
business judgment.
Ability to understand others interests and motivations and establish
effective business relationships.
Unblemished record with regard to integrity, ethics and personal
credibility.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment for problem solving, decision
making, and consensus building.
Excellent communication skills, in particular being an effective listener.

HR Specialist
Manufacturing facility. Primary product is Military Tank Track, along with
Rubber Track. The rubber Track is used on farm implement machinery and skid
loaders.
Salary Range: $43,000 - $70,000
Primary Purpose of Position:
Manage day to day activities of human resource functions in the focus
factory.
Responsible for updating records into the HR SAP system.
Manage human resource labor processes in the focus factory.
Assist the Value Stream Manager and Focus Factory Manager on contract
interpretation.
Promote safety in the focus factory, being a team player and assisting the
Value Stream Manager with accident investigations.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for updating employees master files to ensure accurate records
on each hourly employee.
Effective benefit administration, including pension applications and
Accident and Sickness verification for hourly associates
Process FMLA applications.
Monitor the attendance program along with the Time and Attendance System.
Take an active role in resolving labor disputes in the focus factory. Chair
the second step in the grievance process.
Assist the Value Stream Manager and/or Area Manager with accident
investigations and root cause analysis.
Assist the Manager of HR Services with Zero Tolerance issues.
Experience:
Three (3) years in various HR functions, including Union environment,
Benefits, Pensions, Medical and Labor Relations.
Knowledge and Skills:
Labor Law and Labor Agreement.

Organizational and administrative, situational leadership.
Problem solving and decision making
Verbal and written communications.
Education: Bachelors degree in business or HR field
