Hi All;
The following JSFG training sessions may be attended by signing up at the
General Membership Meeting or by calling the JSFG office at 513-871-0320.
SEMINAR: Developing Marketing Tools, Feb. 1, 2005, 6-8 PM, room #217
Wes Archiable, Business Development Manager for SWOCRN and HR Professional will
discuss developing a resume, cover letters, business cards, managing references
and completing applications.
GUIDED IMAGERY SESSION: Feb. 2 & 16, 2005, 10:30 - 11:05 AM, Parlor, 1st floor
through the Social Hall. A guided imagery and relaxation session guides the
participant through a relaxing experience designed to allow them to relax the
body and thus the mind and spirit. The process provides the opportunity to
regain a sense of personal and spiritual stability and experience a sense of
being centered. The only participation required is sitting quietly, while soft
music is played, and listening to what is said. It is suggested that
comfortable clothing be worn. If you would prefer to lie on the floor, bring a
mat or a blanket. No cost.
MOCK INTERVIEW SESSION: Feb. 7 & 14, 2005, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, room 301
You'll learn some general information on Behavioral Interviewing and then
practice interviewing skills one on one to increase confidence levels for the
"real thing." NEED TO BRING: your resume, a job posting (for your ideal job),
and 10 - 20 great interviewing questions (that the interviewer would ask) This
session will begin after the General Membership Meeting.
WORKSHOP: "Franchise Business Opportunities," Feb. 14, 2005, 11:30 AM - 12:30
PM, room 303, by Dick Munson, franchise business advisor at Frannet. Is a
franchise business right for you? Are franchise opportunities available?
Normally meets every 2nd Monday. No cost.
SEMINAR: NETWORKING, Feb. 15, 2005, 6-8 PM, room 217
We've heard that networking is the best way to find that next opportunity. Wes
Archiable, a 25 year HR veteran and a former JSFG President, currently with
SWOCRN will expand the networking piece of his popular "Job Search Strategies"
session.
SEMINAR: Finding Your Dream Job, Finding the Hidden Job Market, Feb. 17, 2005,
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM, room 217
This session discusses the process of self assessment to discover your skills
and what your dream job is and the process of how to network into your top 20
target companies to get to the person who can hire you.
THE ENTREPRENEURIAL GROUP MEETING: Feb. 23, 2005, 7 - 9:30 PM, Little Theater,
2nd floor. For individuals interested in business ownership, management, and
support for entrepreneurs. (Group usually meets the fourth Wednesday of each

SEMINAR: PLANNING FOR A SOUND FINANCIAL FUTURE, Feb. 28, 2005, 11:00 AM - 1:00
PM, Little Theater, 2nd floor
Bruce Kohls from Fidelity Investments will help us create a financial plan.
This seminar teaches the fundamentals of building wealth, determining and
investment strategy and meeting goals.
SEMINAR: "Is Self-Employment or Franchising Right for You?" 11:15 AM - 12:15
PM, room 303
Former JSFG member Joe Mrozek of Entrepreneur's Source will conduct a workshop
for anyone interested in exploring: if self-employment is right for you, what
options are best for you, how to achieve your career dream with a time-tested
process. FREE to JSFG members. Begins right after the General Membership
meeting.
