Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities:     Managing the communications network 
including network security, installing new applications, distributing 
software upgrades, monitoring daily activity, enforcing licensing agreements 
developing a storage management program and providing routine backups.



Primary Responsibilities:

1.      Perform system administration on Exchange 2000/2003, File/Print, and 
Web servers.

2.      Responsibilities include the monitoring, installations, upgrading, 
and license management

3.      Perform restorations, recoveries, patches and other maintenance 
activities.

4.      Maintain operational documentation and manuals.  Ensure site 
compliance with electronic and physical security procedures and standards.

5.      Strong Batch, WSH, or equivalent Windows Administrative scripting 
skills

6.      Troubleshooting issues relating to network (LAN or WAN), server and 
desktop software and hardware issues, laptops, and PDA?s

7.      Setting and exceeding system performance metrics

8.      Contributes to the growth of the business by refer erring quality 
candidates into the hiring process



Secondary Responsibilities:

1.      Working with and Mentoring of IT staff on how to manage and maintain 
Windows 2003 Servers as well as troubleshoot client issues (primarily 
Outlook 2003)

2.      Microsoft SQL Server & IIS

3.      Assisting in developing and implementing technical standards

4.      Other responsibilities as required



Required Job Qualifications:

1.      Strong Microsoft Windows experience from desktop to server including 
DNS, MINS DHCP

2.      Previous experience working with Exchange

3.      Hardware build/maintenance

4.      Good team worker

5.      Good communicator, both written and oral

6.      5+ Years of Experience

7.      Microsoft Certifications MCSE/MCP

4.  Task management/team leading

5.  Large enterprise environment experience
