Something that no one has mentioned:
One thing that should be considered is that all of the JSFG emails are
searchable via the internet so potential employers could potentially read
the JSFG emails. So I would be concerned that the employer could think that
someone else took and/or contributed to a screening test instead of doing it
yourself.
In my opinion, if an employer gives a pre-screening test, they want you to
do it yourself. They may just not have the staff or the time to monitor
each candidate taking the test. I'd think too, that it could backfire in
another way -- let's say you get the job but then don't have the skills that
the screening test was measuring and have more difficulty and take more time
getting work done. You'd be stressed, and the boss could get mad that you
didn't have the skills.

Ellen

Dear JSFG Folks,
The JSFG E-Mail Mailing List FAQ describes what kind of postings are
considered on-topic and appropriate for posting to the mailing list. The
FAQ specifically states that:
* Other requests for help with the job search.
are appropriate for posting to the mailing list. Mr. Mathews posting
certainly seems to fall in that category to me since he is requesting help
with his job search. Of course, the current officers should make the final
ruling on the appropriateness of his posting.
Have a great day!
Regards,
Lance Feldman
P.S. For more information on the kinds of postings that are considered
appropriate, and other information about the JSFG E-Mail Mailing List, you
