Technical Service Delivery Manager
Description/Reports To:
A Fortune 100 communications company, has substantially grown its e-solutions
business into a new and separate organization. We will continue to hire a
significant number of SDM's to continue
to perform the sales implementation responsibility for an evolving e-solutions
organization. This position is responsible for managing the implementation and
maintenance of accounts. This
position requires strong project management skills.
A SDM has three primary responsibilities which include:
· Presales - Going with a SAE as technical sales overlay.
· Manage the consultants implementing the solution.
· Account Management - Farming/Upselling new opportunities, new sales,
upgrades, outsourcing, issues management, etc.
Location: Cleveland, OH.
Technical Focus:
From a technical perspective, we are looking for individuals that have technical skills, experience in managing implementation individuals, a customer service orientation, good customer service and communication skills and the ability to develop further in the areas of:
· Internet
· E-Commerce
· E-Business
· Enhanced IP Transport
· Customer Service
· Knowledge Based Application
· Web Hosting
Management is interested in candidates with technical sales background. The
most important aspect of this position is to interface with IS from a project
management perspective, as well as the
customer.Experience may come from IT companies, EDS, Worldcom, etc. The
position is 30% presale, 30% project management and communication with the
technical consultants, and 40% account management.
Desirable Experience:
From a skills perspective we are looking for:
· BA/BS(MBA desired) or equivalent experience
· 8-10 years IT experience
· Background in developing and implementing solutions for complex network applications
· Superior understanding of IP applications and internet working technologies
· Strong written and oral communications skills
· Strong understanding of professional delivery service
· Proven customer interface skills
· Project management skills
· PC competency
· Strong Presentation skills
· Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently
· Management of client organization of Fortune 1000 companies
