Supervisor, Release Management
Summary:
As a supervisor, and in coordination with the group?s manager, you will provide
the leadership and experience required to complete assigned projects. As an
Release Manager you will work closely with the Customer Care and Billing team
along with the 3rd party billing systems (Convergys) to provide guidance and
direction with design, development, testing and deployment of new releases,
patches, and maintenance releases for the billing platform. You will also be
responsible for overall issues management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
o Manage the day-to-day issues within the billing platform.
o Report and communicate daily, weekly and monthly updates on SLA
performance related to all trouble reports, maintenance request, and
enhancement request within the billing platform
o Communicate issues and resolution to ISD and Internal Customers on
issue management
o Coordinate, test and implement new releases, patches and maintenance
releases.
o Mentor junior team members.
o Assisting Project Manager in day to day activities.
o Manage contractors and/or vendors with large project development.
o Ensure proper development and approval procedures are followed for
implementation of patches and new functionality.
o Conduct requirements sessions and ensure adequate documentation for
requirements management.
Experience Required / Desired:
o 4-5 years of project management experience
o 3-5 years of experience in system testing or quality assurance
o 3-5 years of experience with product development and/or deployment
o 3+ years experience with PC applications including MS Office
o 2-3 years of employee management experience as a supervisor or team lead
o 1-3 years of experience with billing system development or deployment
o Excellent communication and negotiation skills
o Self motivated and can easily learn new systems and business concepts
o Telecommunication systems experience a plus
o Telecommunication billing experience a plus
Education / Credentials / Certifications:
o Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Information
Systems, or equivalent experience required.
o Formal ISO or QA training a plus
o Formal training in meeting facilitation a plus
