Hello and a good day to all!
Folks, I had a job interview today at Norththrop Grumman for an accountant
position. And I was interviewed by 5 different people. One of the things they
told me was that one of the reasons, probably the main reason they are looking
for someone, is that two of the women who had been working in that dept
recently died about a month apart. So I kinda wonder if I want to work there
not.
I didn't ask, but could it be an extremely stressful job environment? Think I
should have asked? What would any of you think? You interview for a job, any
kind of job, and they tell you that they are looking for someone because the
previous person(s) passed away, leaving a vacancy? Now, one of the persons who
interviewed me is doing her work plus that of the two who passed away. Wasn't
that terrible of those two ladies to leave her all of that work to do? Well,
that's not funny, but it's what happened, as I understand it.
I don't know how to decide this. It probably is a good place to work, but,
unless I could talk to someone who is working or has worked there recently, I
don't know. By the way, the job I interviewed for is a temp to hire position.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bill Matthews
