      Description:   
      The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the 
products built by the company conform to all of the applicable standards and 
regulations relating to the structural integrity of the vehicles. This includes 
specific requirements as applicable for the various contracts to support the 
structural analysis, in service life, and warranty requirements and includes 
all of the testing and Finite Element Analysis (or other analysis) required to 
support the contract requirements .Provide supervision and direction and 
leadership to the Structural Analysis Group to ensure that assignments are 
carried out in an accurate and timely manner to meet the design/contract 
requirements. .Provide technical direction for the Structural Analysis Group to 
ensure that all work is done in accordance with accepted industry practices and 
guidelines. .Coordinate and schedule activities in support of the requirements 
of our U.S. location and Engineering groups as well as Contract Administration 
and Field Service. This includes the completion of all required testing and 
analysis required by these groups. .Manage the personnel in the Structural 
Analysis Group to ensure that they are properly trained and technically 
competent to carry out their assignments. Arrange for training and education as 
needed to keep up with advances in the related technology fields, including new 
development in analysis and testing techniques and related software. Continuous 
improvement principles and professional growth opportunities are included in 
these requirements. .Maintain a close working relationship with the Prototype 
Shop and the Testing group. .Develop a solid understanding of the operating 
conditions and environment that our vehicles are exposed to in actual daily 
usage to ensure the validity of the test and analysis criteria that are 
utilized. .Will be required to work closely with Field Service, Sales, Contract 
Administration, and the Engineering groups at both our U.S. facility and our 
European counterpart. .Some travel will be required to provide support as 
outlined above. .Must be able to represent the Company in a positive, 
professional manner  
      Requirements:   
      .As a minimum, a Masters Degree in Engineering with additional specific 
education in Structural Engineering. A Doctorate Degree would be a preference. 
.A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the analysis and testing of vehicle 
structures. This must include a thorough understanding of the relationship 
between vehicle dynamics and the performance of various design elements to 
successfully handle these dynamics. .A hands-on working knowledge of the 
structural analysis techniques and related software programs used to design, 
analyze and test the related vehicle structures to ensure successful 
performance of these structures. .A good understanding of the principles of 
welding science and a practical working knowledge of good welding practices. An 
understanding of how to properly incorporate weld design into a vehicle 
structure. .Ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously and meet 
schedule deadlines. Flexibility in adjusting priorities as changes occur. 
.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Must be able 
to prepare thorough and accurate reports. At times, will be required to 
interface directly with customers to present and discuss the contents of these 
reports.
