Attention Veterans! November Job Fair Set

Batavia, Ohio. Veterans from throughout the area are invited to attend the
fifteenth annual Southwest Ohio Veteran's Job Fair on Thursday, November 8,
at the Woodlawn National Guard and Training Center, located at 10050
Woodlawn Boulevard in Woodlawn. The job fair will run from 10 a.m. until 2
p.m.

"This year we have nearly 60 area employers who will be looking for veterans
at the job fair to fill their vacancies," said Bill Gaskins, veteran's
employment representative with Ohio Job and Family Services. "Vets should
wear proper business attire and bring a resume. Various support agencies
will also be available, and we will have information about workshops to
assist veterans in various types of job training."

Over 300 area veterans attended the 2006 job fair; Gaskins hopes that even
more will attend this event that is free to both vets and employers. "This
is the only job fair in the tri-state that is targeted for veterans only,"
he said. Funding for the job fair comes from a variety of agencies,
including, veterans' services commissions in Hamilton, Clermont, Butler, and
Warren Counties.
