Senior Account Manager - Gov't and Education Vertical
Job Purpose
This position reports to the Sales Manager. The Account Manager manages all
aspects of the sales process to specific customers within the GovEd vertical
and plays a key role in the Business Sales process at CBT. The position is
the primary contact for all face-to-face, proactive sales efforts for a
variety of complex and newly emerging products and services for a select
segment of government and education related business customers. Customer
satisfaction as well as financial performance of a specific number of
accounts within the government and education vertical will directly relate
to the performance of the Account Manager. The successful Account Manager
will develop and utilize sales plans and strategies to economically reach
sales goals.
Essential Functions
·Focusing sales activities on a group of government and education related
business customers who are strategically important to CBT. Conducts account
planning activities to ensure customer product/service goals and objectives
attained. Primary interface with government and education business
customers within assigned account base (module) to further develop sales
plans into actual closed sales. Developing sales (account) plans,
positioning with customers, understanding customer needs, designing
solutions, presenting proposals and closing sales. Following overall
segment sales strategies as well as specific account sales strategies in
order to achieve all assigned sales objectives. Attaining assigned sales
commitment including: protection of revenue base, generation of new
revenues and ensuring customer satisfaction. Advocating customer needs with
other CBT processes in order to develop new sales opportunities. (70%)
·Ensuring the accurate ordering and installation of services and products
for assigned customer base. Completely understand and communicate
competitor's strategies, strengths and vulnerabilities and utilize to meet
sales objectives. Effectively and efficiently working with sales support
resources in order to meet customer needs and requirements. (15%)
·Developing/maintaining in depth levels of product/service expertise. (15%)
Education
Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Experience / Background
3 to 5 years
Previous Job Experience
·Experienced CBT Account Manager or Specialist desired.
Special Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
·Prior training/experience in data, voice, video, wireless, and/or image
communications
·Selling skills, and proposal generation required
·Previous CBT experienced preferred.
