      Description:   
      The Vortechs Group, a recruiting firm for IT professionals, is searching 
for an experienced SQL Server DBA for a 3-6 month consulting engagement with 
the possibility of permanent hire. The qualified candidate will possess a 
minimum of 3-4 years as a Database Administrator with a strong background in 
SQL Server 2000 database development and administration. Additionally, web 
development skills in Microsoft products (especially ASP, HTML, COM and DCOM) 
are desired. Performance tuning of a 10 GB database will be a large part of the 
responsibilities.  
      Requirements:   
      Flexibility is very important, as the successful candidate must be an 
independent thinker who is strong at trouble shooting and problem solving. 
Candidate must be very comfortable in a fast paced, hectic environment, and 
exceptional communication skills are essential. This is a contract position 
located in downtown Columbus, Ohio.
