SAMI Community Support Specialist

 

Provides both residential and specialized CSP services (individual and group) 
to consumers seeking to manage both mental illness and substance 
abuse/addiction issues while achieving community living.  May provide 
residential coordination services on a transitional interim basis.

 

Bachelor degree in a human services field, or equivalent combination of 
education and experience in a human services agency; six months work experience 
in a community based mental health program; experience in working with SMD 
population.  Formal substance abuse education and experience working with the 
SAMI population preferred, CCDC preferred.  Excellent oral and written 
communication skills, excellent collaboration and coordination skills, ability 
to demonstrate leadership qualities, basic computer knowledge, ability to be 
self-directed. Valid driver's license, vehicle and insurable driving record is 
required.
