Dear Members:
**********************************************
*** IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ THIS
**********************************************
***
*** The JSFG-ITSIG Java Training Group will hold
*** its next meeting on Wednesday, September 29,
*** 2004 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. in room 202
*** of the HPCUMC Church (1345 Grace Av.)
***
*** Please bring your laptop computer to this
*** meeting (if you have one) as I plan for us
*** us to engage in writing a number of simple
*** Java programs as an exercise to reinforce
*** what we have learned so far; and to give us
*** practical experience in actually writing
*** Java code.
***
*** We also plan to review Chapter 8, 9 & 10of
*** the Java How To Program book. The members
*** of the group who volunteered to lead that
*** review should be prepared to distribute their
*** notes to the group and to speak for 15-30
*** minutes on the chapter they were assigned.
***
**********************************************
**********************************************
In addition, since we have nominally finished our
reading assignments in both the tutorial book and
the certification study guide, we will continue
our review and drill on the material from the
Java 2 Certification Study Guide.
You are welcome to join the group at any time
during the session. Feel free to join us even
if you cannot arrive promptly at 6:00 P.M. or
stay for the entire session. It is entirely
acceptable to drop in just for a couple of
hours at any time.
If you are interested in learning Java and
becoming Java certified, but have not been
able to attend our meetings regularly, feel
free to attend and we will discuss ways that
you can jump-start your learning process.
All it takes is the motivation to read the Java
book and practice what you learn.
If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail
me and I will try to help you.
Have a great day!
Regards,
Lance Feldman
P.S. I may be a little late depending on traffic.
