Dear Members:
**********************************************
*** IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ THIS
**********************************************
***
*** The JSFG-ITSIG Java Training Group will resume
*** meeting on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 from
*** 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. in room 202 of the HPCUMC
*** Church (1345 Grace Av.)
***
*** We plan to continue our discussion of Servlet
*** and JavaServer Pages technology. Our emphasis
*** will be on the nuts and bolts of building an
*** application. We will use the NetBeans 4.1 EA1
*** Java IDE to create two simple applications.
*** One will be servlet based and the other will
*** use JSPs.
***
*** Please bring your laptop computer to this
*** meeting (if you have one) so that we can gain
*** experience in the use of the NetBeans IDE
*** and in the writing of Java programs.
***
**********************************************
**********************************************
After missing our last two meetings it will be good to return
to our study of Java programming including Servlet-JSP based
web applications. In the next several group meetings we will
continue to put into practice the principles of Java programming
that we have been studying. We will focus on the important Java
technologies necessary for writing Internet enabled web
applications.
You are welcome to join the group at any time during the
session. Feel free to join us even if you cannot arrive promptly
at 6:00 P.M. or stay for the entire session. It is entirely
acceptable to drop in just for a couple of hours at any time.
If you are interested in learning Java and becoming Java
certified, but have not been able to attend our meetings
regularly, feel free to attend and we will discuss ways that
you can jump-start your learning process. All it takes is
the motivation to read the Java book and practice what
you learn.
If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me and I will
try to help you.
Have a great day!
Regards,
Lance Feldman
P.S. I may be a little late depending on traffic.
